My name is Ish, and I\u2019ve spent most of my life as an educator, with over 25 years of teaching, tutoring, and mentoring in Malaysia, Vietnam, the USA, and now England. Although I grew up surrounded by artistic people, I never considered myself an artist until I began creating stories, art, and imaginative crafts with my daughter. What started as playful projects and illustrated children's books gradually revealed itself as something deeper\u2014a creative calling.<\/p>
My art was truly born during a challenging period of spiritual awakening, chronic illness, anxiety, and profound inner healing. During a time of physical and emotional isolation, painting became both my therapy and my way of making sense of life. When words failed me, color and canvas became my voice. Each piece begins as a conversation with my struggles and ends as a conversation with my Higher Self.<\/p>
Alongside my creative work, I am training as a Somatic Spiritual Life Coach and am passionate about supporting others on their healing and personal growth journeys. I have published children's books, healing guides, journals, and self-development resources, with my books available on Amazon and Etsy.<\/p>
Through both my writing and artwork, my mission is to remind people that healing is possible, transformation is real, and even our darkest experiences can become sources of light. This vision inspired the creation of Vela Awakening\u2014a space where art, healing, and self-discovery come together to support those navigating life's challenges and awakening journeys.<\/p>
